Abstract:The Daweng gold mining area in eastern Xizang is located in the eastern part of the Bangong lake-Nujiang River metallogenic belt, with superior metallogenic geological background and mineralization conditions. In order to study the prospecting potential in the area, the SPSS software was used to conduct multivariate statistical analysis on the data of ten elements, including Au, Ag, Cu, Pb, Zn, As, Sb, Mo, W and Bi obtained from 1:10000 soil geochemical measurements. The mineral prospecting potential of each element and the prospecting potential of comprehensive anomalies were evaluated by using the methods of element anomaly NAP value accumulation and combined element NAP value anomaly evaluation. The results indicate that the mineralization in the area is related to intermediate-acidic magmatic hydrothermal fluids. Pb, As, Sb, Ag, Bi are indicator elements for the front halo of the mineralization bodies, Au is the main mineralization element, W is the near-ore indicator element, and Cu, Mo are indicator elements for the tail halo of the mineralization bodies. Au has the greatest ore-forming potential, while Bi and Mo have greater ore-forming potential, and Sb and Ag also have certain ore-forming potential. A total of five comprehensive soil geochemical anomalies have been delineated in the area, of which the HS-1 comprehensive anomaly has the greatest potential for mineral exploration, followed by the HS-4 comprehensive anomaly. Based on the geological characteristics of mineralization and anomaly investigation, it is believed that there is enormous potential to search for hidden explosive breccia type gold deposits, porphyry type molybdenum gold deposits, and hydrothermal type silver antimony bismuth polymetallic deposits in the area.
